Return to Giving At Work

Combined Federal Campaign

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the largest workplace giving campaign in the World.  Annually, government employees give more than $40 million to Community Health Charities and its member charities.  Community Health Charities salutes the great generosity of Federal Employees without whom our agencies would not be able to provide the magnitude of programs and services available today.

What to Know About the Fall 2010 Campaign

1.       Every charity in the 2010 CFC campaign has received a new designation code for the Fall 2010 campaign.

2.       The new national code for Community Health Charities for donations to the federation is #81083.

3.       For a listing of national codes for all 50+ CHC member charities, click here.

4.       For an Excel spreadsheet listing of Virginia local charity codes in all campaign locations (coming soon).

5.       Check the CFC Brochure for your selected charity's name.  When you complete your pledge form, be sure to use the correct code for the charity to which you wish to contribute.

6.       You may find your CHC member charity under the Community Health Charities National Federation Heading in the National Section and/or under the Community Health Charities of Virginia Local Federation Heading in the Local Federation Section of the brochure.

When making contributions during the 2010 CFC, Community Health Charities encourages you to pay careful attention to the percentage noted for an organization’s Administrative and Fund Raising ratio (AFR).  In prior years, charities could not participate in the CFC unless their AFR to revenue ratio was under 25%, or had a plan in place to achieve this number.  Changes in regulations have removed this criterion.  Community Health Charities maintains criteria of an AFR of 25% or lower as part of its membership qualifications.

If you would like to verify a code for a local affiliate of Community Health Charities, or one of its local member charities, please be sure to check your local CFC brochure.

Please Note:
You should advise your donors and supporters of your assigned number; however, you should caution them also to ‘confirm’ your number in their local campaign brochure.  Campaign administrators can make errors and, in some campaigns, administrators have full authority to change the agency code members to meld with their accounting systems.  There will be number changes.  Therefore, never relay solely on the number.  Tell your supporters to research carefully the campaign brochure to find your agency’s name.

CFC Local Number for Children Hospital of the Kings Daughters is 68517 and in-state 6094.CFC Local Number for the Diabetes Center Foundation is 82864  and in-state is 6065.
